Configuring Your Keyboard To Type in Spanish!
If you live in the US and you wished you had a keyboard that allowed you to type characters in Spanish, this guide will help you configure your keyboard to do just that! A shout out goes to Juchipillo for the suggestions!
System –> Preferences –> Keyboard
Click on “+ Add”
Select the arrow besides “U.S. English” and select “U.S. English International (with dead keys).
In order to switch between your regular English keyboard and a spanish one we are going to add a control on our task bar. Right click on your task bar and select “+ Add to the panel”.
Choose the “Keyboard Indicator” control. You should now see “USA” on your taskbar. when you click on it it will switch to “USA*”. When it has the asterix it is in international mode. International mode will allow you to type the Spanish characters. Click on the “USA*” to switch back.
To write the following characters, make sure that your keyboard control is set to “USA*”
ñ = [shift] + [~] , n
á = ['] , a
é = ['] , e
í = ['] , i
ó = ['] , o
ú = ['] , u

Todo lo que puedo decir es: GRACIAS!!!
Hoy es mi primer día con UBUNTU y ésto de escribir sin acentos me estaba volviendo mono…
Un abrazo!
